If they didn't give you the job, maybe they all deserved pink eye!

    Just kidding:p

    I think I'd let them know that I wasn't feeling 100%

I went to an interview and felt like caca. I didn't even drive there cuz I felt so terrible...I thought I had a temp but I wanted the job so bad that I went anyway. I was sweaty and really couldn't focus.
After the interview I had my husband drive me to the dr. I had a temp of 103!!! He sent me home with some meds. I threw them up and couldn't keep anything down. I called him and he sent me to the ER. I was admitted for a week with a kidney infection!

Yeah, um. I didn't get that job. but after subbing in a different district, I finally got the dream job.

    Hang in there!

I offered to come to a second interview the day i was being released from the hospital (hernia surgery)... never heard back from them, never got a second interview, thus never got the job. I thought they could have at least called to say no.

I've been phone interviewed when i was sick before. mentioned that i was under the weather...got sympathy for my condition...but didn't get the job (in all fairness, i didn't do my best-and I knew it).

So, I guess the rule is... if they CAN wait, you SHOULD wait rather than show up sick, and not be able to focus on the interview??? I would be curious to know if anyone was ever offered a job after interviewing and being really sick during the interview. I can understand if it was the only day they can interview. What could you do? - suck it up and hope that you look human.
