I have been subbing in special ed quite a bit at this one school. Sometimes I am the teacher, and sometimes I am the para. The K-2 autism class is really my favorite, I like the teacher, the other paras and the kids. One of the paras took another job so they asked me if I was interested in that position. In my county, it is a good idea to take a para position so you can get your foot in the door. I have heard this from several people. I am certified ECE K-5 in Georgia. Does anyone have any tips or advice for me since this is my first interview for any job in education. (other than subbing) I am very nervous but excited at the same time because I think this is a good fit for me.
