Had an interesting question yesterday at an interview. What would you do if you if another teacher constantly dismissed students after the bell and they arrived 5 - 10 minutes late for your class? There was an entire scenario where you had already talked to the teacher and the teacher insisted her class was more important. There was another that asked something along the lines of Do you hold your students to the same standards as your high performing students? I asked to clarify if they meant the same standards or the same expectations. They asked me to answer both. I answered something like I felt standards were a base line all students were expected to reach, though not nec. at the same time or level. While I hold high expectations of all my students, the expectations I have for each is based on their ability, not other students' performance. They all told me how good of an answer that was and how much they liked it, so I must have done something right on that one. Most of the rest of the questions were standard or based on my resume and experiences and training.
