As I'm getting ready for my upcoming interview, I had a question about a question I'm often asked, what would your classroom look like? What do they want you to say for this question? Do they want you to go into detailed description or something more general?

I think I would focus on things I want in the class like: class library, centers, desks in groups for cooperative learning, rug for class meetings, etc. Of course you can add more/different things and go into much more detail, like why you want it in your class.

I've heard that they are looking for what your classroom would look like in terms of what learning is happening. you can talk about the bulletin boards, etc, but I think they want to know if the students are engaged. kwim?
