Interview Attire

I currently teach in St. Louis, but my husband and I are moving to Alabama. I have an interview next week for an elementary job. Do candidates still wear a business suit? What is appropriate attire for a job interview? I haven't done this in about five years. Thank you!

 

I personally wear a skirt suit. With nylons and closed toed shoes. They say a hint of red is good.

 

professional attire is always the best, whether it be skirt or pants.

In the metro NYC area, you wear a suit and carry a briefcase.

I don't carry the briefcase, but I don't have the job either so who knows

 

Wow! I've never seen a teacher at our school with a briefcase. Maybe high school teachers carry them though.

 

I just returning from a huge, all state, job fair here in Arizona. I was shocked at the way people dressed! Although, in the southwest, a business suit is not really requited any longer. Neither is jeans and tennies!!

It never fails to "dress to impress"!
