What kinds of interactive bulletin boards do you have in your classroom?

I have an Accel. Reader board where the kids keep track of their goal. I haven't got it finished yet...I'm working on that part. I'm also going to try to get some other ones together...

I have one called the Word Swatter Word Wall. I have folders cut in half posted on the board. In each folder part is a laminated page with groups of word families, "ch" words, word with "ai". etc. There are 26 different types of word groups. Then I have some word swatters also attached to the board. You can look online for pics of the swatters. My kids can take the laminated pages to their tables to practice words.

One bulletin board only, and that's the Calendar Math.
We've been in school five days now, and I haven't found the time to even do one session of Calendar Math!)

There are standards posters around the room that I use for teaching, and a place to display outstanding writing from the kids, but since I don't have any papers yet from them, that's empty....Although they did write a "show, not tell" paragraph today so I could display some of those.....

When I teach my Healthy Science unit, I put up a bulletin board that includes a graph to record heart rates. I hang a stethescope and directions next to it for students to use in their free time.

This year I will also do the CAFE board, which is interactive because students help add reading strategies to it and keep track of their reading goals up there.

That sounds like a neat idea. I'd like to hear more about it. Also, I have three stethoscopes in my classroom, so it could be a great activity for me when we study the human body.

I put up instructions for students to measure their resting heart rate, then have them do some jumping jacks and measure again. The graph is big enough so that those small rectangular Post Its can be used to record data in bar graph form. Students record their name and put the Post It in the closest appropriate column for their resting heart rate.

Ooh, just thought this would also be a great opportunity for teaching line plots. :D
