I teach in a Title 1 School, and I honestly don't expect my parents to give me gifts for Christmas, even though I know that some will. Instead of my parents spending their money on me, I would love for them to spend it on the classroom. Does anyone have a letter they would be willing to share that says this in an elegant way? In addition, what items would you put on a wish list for the parents to buy? My wish list for my classroom: 1. Skinny washable markers 2. Expo dry-erase markers 3. Cheap paper plates (the ones that are hard to get apart) 4. Board Games appropriate for kindergarten students 5. Books for the classroom 6. Gift cards for classroom projects What do ya'll think about this? Does anyone else do it as well?
