I'm tutoring a student one on one and I need some activities to go along with Indian in the Cupboard which he selected for us to read.
Could you point me in the right direction?
Also what to do to help a kid learn inference?

Thanks for you help ahead of time!

Students made their own cupboards using cereal boxes and placed an object within. They then wrote a creative story about their adventure.

    Students made Indian villages.

Students used Native American symbols to write their own legends

Students wrote Cinquain poems about Iroquois customs.

    Students acted out chapters.

Students made missing posters about specific characters

When you're done you could watch the movie and pick out things that were different either in the book or the movie. I ask my neighbor (middle school age) about movies that are books, some of the differences. She did pretty well with Tuck Everlasting. She rattled some of those off.
