you just take red solo cups and put them upside down on a cookie sheet lined with foil. Place them in the oven at 400 for about 30 seconds or until flat. (watch them because the start to roll up if left to long) After they cool drill a hole at the top and decorate. I'm gonna add the kids names with permanant marker later. (If I ever get my list)

i think ill just use a sharpie for rthe strips and cut out stingers and wings from contruction paper. Not sure how ill do the head....im using them for my outside door display and it will say "miss _'s busy bees" I will write the students names on each...i think they will be cuter than the premade cutouts that I do have already. I already have a paper hive from 2 years ago so i hope it works out!

Thanks for the nametag idea and photo. I would have never been able to picture how they turned out. Our nametags last year were trashed by the first Friday. We only use them the first week, and I will talk my co teacher into making these for our 60 Kinders. :)

Those are awesome. I love all of the ideas of the bees, apples, fish, etc... Not sure of how you could do frogs, unless you paint them with green spray paint when you are done with them!

I used the red cups with white inside and the white ring never showed. I guess it unrolled as it cooked.

A party store might have green cups. You could use white foam for the eyes and green foam for the feet. Just add the mouth and eyes with a permanant marker. That would be adorable :)

I'm going to pass on that idea to a friend of mine who's a first year teacher. Your room looks great, I love how you used the shirt shelves for closet space to organize your books.

That is a GREAT idea! I do the sticker on construction paper and laminate them. I can't believe how fast those get eaten, or just look so gross you can't read them anyway. I might have to try this....
