Does anyone have any ideas for celebrating history on Tuesday?

We've been talking about our new president for weeks, and we have Jan. 20 highlighted on our calendar. If you ask any of my kids (low-functioning, some non-verbal) kids with autism, they will "tell you" (verbally or through their AAC devices that Mr. Obama is our new president.

I'd like to have a celebration on Tuesday but can't think of anything that would be on their level. I was thinking of maybe making patriotic hats and having cupcakes, and maybe turning on the news to see some of the excitement.

Does anyone have any other ideas on things we could do??

If you have Edhelper, or know anyone that does, there is a great inaugeration day coloring book with a poem about what exactly happens during the inaugeration. It reminds me a bit of social stories.
