I am feeling so , I don't even know how to express what I am feeling. I know my teacher friends are working in their rooms and I don't have one anymore. I am so defeated. I know there are others who are feeling the same. Working with my children at school was such a big part of my life and who I am (was).

No, Junebug...you can't feel this way until Friday...Go check our calendar if you don't believe me! There are plenty of things you should do to better prepare yourself when that door opens. For instance; create a better behavioral management chart, cut some letters out of sand paper for another differentiated learning approach and I'll add some more after you list three things you can do right now!

Thanks, Beth. Just having a low moment but feeling better. I just can't think about I have done for the last 13 years and wait for the new door to open. It is just so hard to wait! I think I am ADD or something.

Keep your head up and keep your ears close to the ground for any buzz. Things will work out.

It's not over till the 20 day count!! Organize your stuff. Brainstorm ways to keep organized.
Practice a new way to do your makeup.

Try a new hair style. Go through the closet and find new interview combos. Go to the store and put random items in other people's carts. Sing like you are competing on American Idol....okay, maybe not. Don't give up!

What is the 20 day count?

Schools around here are beginning next week. That is less than 20 days !

I can't pass the school supply isle without crying. My friend just got a new job and I want to help her out, but I don't want to be a complete downer.

I want to be sitting in boring workshops trying to stay awake. I want to be drowning in a mess that I don't know how to organize. I want to worry about my bulletin boards, desk arrangement, restroom procedures, etc.

Hugs for everyone:hugs:, we are in this together.

I felt very down myself recently. I don't have any good advice, because I just decided I would look for other work (basically, I gave up on getting a teaching job), and within two weeks I had two interviews. Now I am back on the rollercoaster, but if they don't pan out I am still o.k. with looking for something else.
I feel bad that you are feeling this. It was terrible.

Don't lose sight of your wonderful qualities. These are temporary circumstances, not reflective of your worth.

Hugs and hot cups of tea to you.

Can we make that iced tea? It's 104 here and 115 heat index .

But really, thanks for the encouragement. It really helps.

OMG- Big Shirley-thank you so much for posting your insight--I have been equating my circumstances to my self worth;and losing the battle. I will repeat your words to myself:
    "this is a circumstance,not a ____________."
Can someone fill in the blank?

I was sooooooo positive at the beginning of the week. There are no positions in any districts around me. I know that it is still early in the grand scheme of things, but it gets harder with each passing day. I feel ya! :hugs:

Monday was terrible for me, I was thinking too much about what I had and didn't have anymore:(. Tuesday I was determined to feel better and I did:). I sooo trying to be positive. We seem to be in the same boat and hearing positive things really helps:) You have to stop and count your blessings:)

For the most part I am positive. I still have this feeling of peace that everything is going to work out. There's always that niggling doubt in the back of the mind.

positive thoughts, positive thoughts, positive thoughts!!!!!!!
