    Hello everyone!

I have a unique situation this year. I just moved schools and my new classroom is in need of some help. It's a beautiful space BUT it is a double classroom. It's a big open space and I share it with another teacher. We both teach different subjects in middle school so team teaching is not an option.

Despite numerous attempts to problem solve, admin will not approve a partition. That being said, I need your creative minds! What can we use to divide our space? The length of the space we need to fill is about 20 feet so a curtain rod and curtains won't work. I was thinking divide it with these bookshelves we have (they go up about 4 feet high) and then stack something on top.

What do you all think? I'm desperate for ideas!

On top of the bookshelves, you could put up tri-fold boards with anchor charts or other info to support your curriculum.

How about putting bookshelves - back to back - on top of tables (folding?) across space? Should give you 6+' high.

Mrs. C - I think that's my "safety" plan right now. It'll definitely help!

Loomistrout - I'm concerned that may be a safety issue. I definitely considered it though!

The tri fold boards are a good idea too. It would be nice to have that extra "wall" space to display posters and anchor charts.
