Timbuk2 makes bags in lots of colors and they are very durable. You can find them at REI, EMS, etc. Good luck.
If you go to the Timbuk2 website you can design your own bag.
I need something a little bit more professional than that as an A.P. I'll be taking it to district meetings and such.
I used to have a swiss army laptop bag that I really liked and looks more professional.
I mean swiss gear (sorry).
Thanks for the suggestion! I really like that bag!
My husband bought me a bag for my laptop that carries everything from Kailo Chic. I love it. It is well made.
Go see Alice's post. She's looking for one, too. Maybe VB will float your boat!
I've never heard of Timbuk2's web site. Interesting.

Not quite the picture I have in my mind of Brendan!
No, me neither.
I have a leather briefcase I got at Staples 4 years ago. It's teal, but they also had more traditional colors. I LOVE it, and wish I could continue to use it.
How about something like this: http://www.officemax.com/office-supplies/bags-cases/computer-cases/product-prod1811522
briefcase.com has tons
I got this bag as a gift, and I love it.
I was going for the more professsional look as well.

Depends on the type of bag you want and your budget. I love Briggs & Riley laptop bags. They have a huge range of laptop bags in several styles – briefs, messenger bags, backpacks, etc. You can visit their website to view their collection online!
This is the bag my husband gave me for Christmas. I love it.
That would be great for MY WIFE lol
I have an aston leather bag that I've used. Always gets compliments and it's not too much. On the other hand, if you're looking for something really nice, try Brooks Brothers.
here's the aston bag:
