The public schools don't seem to active lately as far as openings and so now, I'm looking into Special Ed. There seem to be many non profit- center based positions and itinerant teacher options.
I just sent out some resumes for those today, but who knows. I'm so worn out from looking and I just don't know what else to do. I could return next year as a perm. sub, but I don't know if I want to. It appears to be a dead end. I don't want to sub forever so I may have to move on.

Anyone teach in a non public school setting? What do you think ?

I don't have any advice or answer to your question, but I just wanted to give you a great big :hugs:!! I know this is a tough decision to make, but you have to do what is right for you and your family. I'm praying for you girl.

I taught in non-public schools for 4 years. You have to have a thick skin as these students often have emotional and behavioral problems. you will receive support and you will learn ways of managing students. Good luck!
