I get what you mean but mods are volunteers who have real lives. They do an awesome job and they can only do so much.

Members need to do their part if they want a quality form.

Christy, yes it is. Especially since I have to say that I am a smart mouth and very often let others know how I feel. That is something that I pray about often and would like to improve.

To all the moderators, thanks for volunteering your time to make this site one of my favorite "places" to visit.

GH (and Y&R) are my favorite soaps; I've been watching both for over 10 years and feel like I know the characters so well, that I can get very ... enthusiastic ... when discussing them.

Every time discussion in the staff lounge gets around to soaps, I'm reminded of how I'm one of three male teachers in school.

I don't want anyone to think that I think the mod staff here are horrible. They seem to be great people and the site runs smoothly. I spent several years moderating and administrating a Vbulletin site as a volunteer so I fully understand the time constraints that come with the job. The point I'm making is that if this 'staff' wanted to improve the user experience, they could with little extra effort. That's all.

We're all adults here. If we want to improve our experience, we can do that ourselves. We can report hostile or argumentative posts, refrain from responding to trolls and jerkfaces who just want to argue, utilize the ignore feature more often, and take an extra second to read posts carefully before responding emotionally and getting threads off track.

My experience here is great. I've been a member here for many years and I keep coming back because I like it here. I don't let the jerkfaces get to me (at least not very often), I don't respond to the one or two who really grind my gears, and I bow out of threads where I feel like I'm not being heard. It works for me.

I'm one of about ninety moderators at one of the larger message boards on the internet. I don't consider myself staff. Staff members get paid.

ATOZ is a kind and gentle forum...... It's very Slow Pitch Softball or Tee Ball.... vis-a-vis most (adult serious) forums ... Lighten up folks ... Guess there is a place for some Pollyannaish threads and replies (here) ...... but in the real world everything doesn't work out optimistic, good-hearted and kind ....

Hugs to anyone who needs them ...........:)

Exactly. Stop ribbing others to get a rise out of them. Respect their opinion without get feathers ruffled. You want to ruffle feathers, go find a political forum... or one of those soap opera ones. LOL
