    Vacation/Holiday time off!
What 5 things will you miss when you go back to school/work?

    I will miss:

    1. Staying in my pjs til noon!
    2. Staying up til 2 in the morning, yet getting up early (sigh, 7:30 am; must be my body clock?)
    3. Frequenting this site!
    4. Being at leasure at home...washing clothes, vacuuming, just piddling around.
    5. The fresh cooler air!

    1. Of course, sleeping in, but also sleeping whenever I want in the middle of the day too!

    2. Being online 24/7!

    3. Spending more time with my puppy dog!

    4. Having time to run errands and clean house.

    5. Having time to read, write, and be introspective!

Ok, there's probably more, but that's top 5!

    1. Sleeping
    2. Playing DS
    3. Sleeping
    4. Playing DS
    5. Sleeping

That's all I have been doing anyway. That reminds me. I need to plug in my DS. Maybe I will nap while it is charging. Haha.

On thing I am excited about though, is after MLK weekend, I will get my Dept chair extra planning time, and I will teach 2 classes until 10:39 and then I will be free for the rest of the day for planning and dept chair duties! I can't wait!!! Job #1 - cleaning out the book room!

I have a double vacation in that college classes are on hiatus until the 25th, and this week's vacation. I am going to miss:

Being on the computer for reasons other than coursework or research
Reading for the fun of it, not simply because I have to
Sleeping in and staying up late
Having absolutely nothing to do other than what I choose to do
Having all the household chores caught up...when I am working and going to school that is a rarity around here anymore.:(

    1) Actually having a social life (i've caught up with so many friends in the last week!)

    2) Eating a well-balanced, home cooked breakfast

    3) Staying up until 2 a.m. watching Adult Swim on Cartoon Network, than sleeping until 10:30 a.m. or later

    4) Being called "LYNN" all day rather than "Ms. ____"

    5) Not grading papers

    Staying up late.
Sleeping in as late as I want to.
Not wearing a stitch of make up or even combing my hair all day.
    Piddling around doing housework, etc.
    Hanging out with my cats.
Cooking a meal without being exhausted from working all day.
Watching the snow fall and not having to go out in it.

    1) staying in my pj's until I'm ready to go somewhere
    2) Not having anywhere to be
    3) Not having to use as much of my free time to do work related stuff (still working on creating my midterm exams and study guides since this is my first year).
    4) Staying up late and finally reading books that I bought months ago.
    5) Not having to check my work e-mail every hour on the hour so that parents don't feel that I'm ignoring their concerns.

Well, there are only 5 months until summer break...sigh...lol

Taking a shower until the hot water is gone if I feel like it.
Reading what I want to all the time instead of what I need to.
Staying up late and sleeping in.
Spending lots of time with my children.
Cooking dinner without feeling like it is just one more thing to get done before I can sit and relax.

    1. Doing whatever I want to do whenever I want.
    2. Being a hermit, recluse, anti-social, "party pooper", or whatever. There are times I really like being left alone.
    3. Crawling into bed after watching the sun rise.
    4. Not thinking about what I need to do at school. (Although it's starting to creep in.)
    5. Play-arguing with my son about who is going to cook dinner or go out and get it. I'm usually too tired after work to bother with the argument, and I end up eating a sandwich.

    not hurrying to a class
not having to get school work completed
not watching the clock so much

We really did light work these last two weeks, just finishing up holiday ss lessons. It felt divine to just be 'mommy' and not 'teacher'. I'll miss that when we're back to the 'ol grind.
