I remember a preschool CD that a track with samples of music of different tempos for movement.

There were no words, just music, ranging from very slow to very fast. The kids played it like the freeze game...

I think one of the samples sounded kind of cartoon-y western, like something to gallop to.

If you happen to know of this CD, or something like it, please let me know!

    Thanks!

I don't know which one it is, but I would look at some Sesame Street ones. It sounds like something they would produce.

Could it have been a song called "Listen and Move" by Greg & Steve? It has the kids moving about the room in different ways, walking, galloping, tiptoe-ing, etc. and it has theme music that goes with each movement, e.g. western music for galloping. You can listen to the song at this link: http://www.gregandsteve.com/walt2.html

That's exactly what I thought of when I read the question.

Our music teacher plays the Greg and Steve one in music class and the kids love remembering how to move for each type of music.

    Thanks so much, everyone!
The Greg and Steve song is not the one I remembered, but it will work perfectly!
