    Just reading the title made me roll my eyes. Oh I hope it's not true.

    Have they outlawed flipping the bird first? That would be more offensive than eye rolling... lol

    Man, I would be in BIG trouble! :rolleyes: I got called out for that last year when a co-worker got offended because I rolled my eyes at her-since then I am so conscious of how often I do it-it's like a reflex, I can't help it!

    I'm sorry but you can't legislate decorum.

    Well, I think eye-rolling is a kinder way of flipping the bird! I would be totally in favor of this. I have seen kids do this to their parents during parent conferences; the parents have not said anything, but I sure did!

    Oh. So it is real. I read on the article that people will not be fined if caught. Okay, then why bother wasting time putting the rule in the law books?

    I think this would be a stupid law but I am just thinking rhetorically:
    Would this law apply to minors, as well? :lol: If so, I can see a lot of students getting in trouble over this one. Teachers can actually tell their students, "You know rolling your eyes at me is against the law, right?" :toofunny:

    They had this on the news last week. They said in the town meeting one woman was thrown out for rolling her eyes too much. I did tell a student once that if he rolled his eyes and spazzed out his fingers at me again he'd better bring a medical excuse. lol

    And I think eye rolling and the hmphf sound I make when annoyed at my S/O are pretty close. Maybe they'll outlaw that too. I'd be in trouble. :p

    What they're apparently trying to do is define eye-rolling as "disorderly conduct" sufficient to throw people out of public meetings.

    Frankly, I think they're just trying to crush dissent. Eye-rolling may annoy the target, but it isn't actually disruptive.

    Very true. The people wanting to put this law in place are politicians. They should be use to the eye rolling from the public. :lol:

    I'm a big time eye roller. Thankfully a friend called me out on it 4 years ago so now I am totally aware of the fact that I roll my eyes when I'm annoyed or when someone says something stupid. Thankfully I only do it when interacting with adults. I have learned not to look directly at my principal during staff meeting:whistle:

    :eek::eek::eek:

    Trying it, I just realized I can't roll my eyes, even though I think "eye-roll" on a regular basis!

    Well, not comfortably, anyway. I can sort of do it, but it doesn't feel at all natural.
