I got an email this week from the Superintendent of the school that I subbed at this past year letting me know that he would like me to fill in for one of their Special Ed teachers while she is out on maternity leave. It could be up to 4 weeks, depending on when she has her baby (she's due sometime in August, and school starts in September-should I hope for her to go past her due date so I can get a full 6 weeks? LOL) I said I would be glad to, as long as I'm don't get a full-time job. I am using him as one of my references, so he knows I'm looking for a full time-job and he still thought of me which is great. I really wish there was an opening in his district, because he is awesome and so are the teachers in the school. His email said "It saddens me that some one with your talent and passion for students remains unemployed." Wow, that kind of comment from someone of his position will keep me going for quite a while. So, either way LTS or F-T, I'll be in school at the beginning of the year...Yahoo!
