At a conference last week I learned about some IKEA carpet circles that are about 1 yard by 1 yard. I can't find them on their website. Does anyone have a link?

    Yes, thank you!!!

I wish they came in better colors, though... :(

I bought their foam version last year - good and bad idea. I could put it on the carpet and tell a child to stay on the circle if they were the wandering type at circle time, but they were usually the type who would eventually start playing with it. The kids loved making stepping stones out of them and they turned into several creative endeavors (including frisbees which was discouraged right away).

Pigeon, what do you plan on doing with those?? Just curious. If they are 1 yard across, I can't imagine each kid will get one to sit upon. Plus, there is the $10 price tag....times a class of 20,, I can't imagine they're one per kid.

I wanted to purchase 3 for my classroom library rug. I thought it would be more fun than just my simple square rug.

Don't buy those! They have bath mats that are round and the same size for 3.99. Plus they have the grip stuff on the bottom so they don't slide. I use them in my classroom and I love them. I'll try to find a link. I bought them in the store.

Well, it looks like they don't sell them anymore and everyone reselling them online has marked them WAY up. If you have a store near you, they may still have them there. They still have a TON at my local Ikea.

We don't have any Ikea stores in my state. :( I'm not sure what to do about a library rug...I want something plain and simple, but kind of unique. Right now I have a tiny black rectangular bathroom rug, but I made my library larger, so it looks really silly and small now.

Lowes sells 20 dollar area rugs. The size is pretty good. I've read some tutorials about stenciling rugs. I'm not sure how crafty you're feeling but they can turn out pretty cool.
