Teaching is my #1 choice, but if I had to leave for another profession, I'd like to be a school librarian.

I just opened an online gift shop and my previous life as a teacher/sub has benefited me, though I'm overwhelmed. I have to credit my years of subbing in inner city schools for keeping me "tough" enough to play all the different roles I have to as a small business owner. It's hard so far. I also just started a gift ideas blog, and again, I approach coming up with all these gift ideas like I approach lesson planning or implementing another teacher's lesson plan.

    Hmmm...where to start

    (1)
Be a stay-at-home mom, PTO president, volunteer, etc.

    (2)
Own a bookstore. DH and I have joked that in our next life I'll own a bookstore and the back of my shop he'd put an archery and gun shop. Quite the combo, lol.

    (3)
I took some HR and marketing classes in college, and I enjoyed them.

    (4)
Some days any job that would give me a little office somewhere WAY far away from people and pay me what I make now would work.

I was seriously considering School Psych for a while and becoming either a school psychologist and/or a guidance counselor. I want to teach though.

If I'm dreaming big, I'd LOVE to be a race car driver.

If we're talking reality, though, - like if I wasn't a teacher right now tomorrow- then I'd like to be an editor of some kind of a job that involves organization of some kind; maybe a secretary or librarian.

I hate to admit it, but I sometimes miss my first job at McDonald's. Weird, huh?

I'd love to be a librarian. I'm also fascinated by forensics, but not sure I have the stomach to make it. I took computerized accounting in vocational school, but I hate taxes LOL
