with all the funding talk lately, i am going to repost/revisit this thread....

and then check out the article in our local paper....
    http://www.caller.com/news/2011/apr/06/no-clear-future-for-south-texas-public-radio-tv/

some of the comments are...well, let's just say...interesting

and glad to know that all i do is help teachers babysit kids...

meanwhile i am sitting here in putting children's stories into our database for our PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest. I think i am at story #312...and i have about 100 more to input. Usually there are two of us in this dept (Education at at PBS station)...but now it is just me.

i do all the community/school outreach AND work on all the paper work...

i even answer phone calls that are similar to, "there was this documentary i saw once about a hispanic girl who lived in the colonias and then went to Harvard. Do you have it?"

oddly enough, i found the title of the show and where the teacher could order it...on just that little pice of information....

so if you do support your PBS TV station...and/or your NPR radio station, please visit the 170 million americans website. There are some good people and good programs that may not survive if we lose ALL federal funding.
