Why does everything happen at once?

I'm having surgery tomorrow morning. I have lots of stuff to get done today to prep for it. Wake up this morning to a frozen pipe to my washer.

Hospital calls to move my surgery earlier due to a cancellation. Plumber can't do anything today except turn off water so there isn't a huge issue if the pipe is broken. (I will be gone 2-3 days.)

I have to gather up everything and go to Mom's house to prep, only I can't go until water turn off guy gets here. She doesn't have internet, so i am trying to get online things done before I leave home.

Plus, Mom is sick. She got antibiotics today. Her knee is also bothering her, and she's worried about my surgery, too. Then I worry about her because she's epileptic and doesn't need extra stressors.

Nobody can take care of the pipes while I'm gone because Mom is staying with me, and it's just the two of us.

Too much going on at once.

    Prayers coming your way.

Please, if at all possible, relax. It will all work out. You don't need to be going into surgery worrying.

Surgery went well. I was sick early yesterday, but felt better last night about 3:00 in the morning. After the morphine was gone, I've felt worse. I'm really gassy & uncomfortable today. I go home tomorrow.

I'm heading home today. Well, at least Mom's house until my frozen water pipe is repaired.

Hey Ima! Glad the surgery went well, although sorry about the uncomfortable feelings. I always have to ask the anesthesiologist to give me the anti-nausea medication when I have any kind of anesthesia. Rest well at home!

    Everything's looking up!

I had posted last Tuesday about how everything was going haywire while I was trying to prep for my surgery. Fortunately, a week later everything has fallen into place . . . as it usually does.

My mom's antibiotics kicked her infection, and they gave her some steroids to hold her over until she can start therapy on her knee. My surgery went well. I've been staying at Mom's house at night, and coming to my house (3 miles away) during the day to use my internet.

The plumber came today to fix my water pipe. It hadn't burst when it froze, thank goodness. He insulated it better, and while he was here he installed a safety bar in my shower.

Mom takes me back to the doctor Thursday to get my stitches removed, and after that I should be back home full time and released to drive. I've still got another week off work as well.
