Well after much thought I will be going to the 2nd interview with the Telamon corporation and if I am hired I will be the new preschool teacher. I told my mom and she did not take it well. After much thought, I will not be committed to driving the 45 min to work ever again and losing gas, worrying about being paid, and overcrowding the classroom when a worker calls out.

Being that I had a fair share of experience in preschools, I will make sure to ask all the relevant questions at the interview.

This job will also take a load off me as I prepare for the teacher examination. Thanks everyone for the input.
I now have to figure out if GCU will allow the preschool teacher position to be acceptable for student teaching or do I need to be in a public school or a private. The corporation has Pre-kindergartens that are operated like public school and I will need teacher certs to be qualified that position. Hopefully, if the position opens I will apply.

OP, don't be surprised if your student teaching has to be mostly in elementary school, if you are looking to become certified K-6. I know that in NJ, there is another cert if teaching PK-3, different from the K-6. Of course, every state is different. If your cert will include PK, then the only problem would be having a certified teacher in place to be your mentor teacher. Not sure that if you ARE the teacher that the progam will accept that, but who knows.

Does that mean you have had the 2nd interview and the position was offered to you?

Hey everyone I had the interview today and it went really well. There were 2 other applicants that were being interviewed after me and I will hear back Friday. She asked for my college transcripts and to create a sample lesson plan. I did well except I forgot to add students that will need extension or IEP help on the lesson plan. Majority of the students will be IEP.
Hopefully the interviewers overlooked it. I told them that I am obtaining a MEd and they seemed very impressed. I hope I get this job because this means I do not have to drive 40 mins away
