How much do you want to spend per student?

Ooh Popsicles are a fun treat. They never get that in class. You could also do something like purchased Rice Krispie Treats.

(Okay, I have to add to make sure you are aware of food allergies before doing anything. I have the "peanut" kids in my class so I am always extra cautious.)

Super-easy is to bake a sheet cake and frost it - use box mix and canned frosting. Sprinkles on top. Cheap, takes about 10 mins to prep, you just bake.

You can also make dirt pudding with gummy worms. yum!

I would try to do something healthier though. And make sure you know what the rules are in your school - you might HAVE to serve something healthier. Maybe apples with peanut butter?

We can't bring anything homemade at all. Everything must be store bought and have ingredient label on it. We also can't serve anything until after 1:45 unless it is part of the curriculum, like raisins as counters in math. Pretty strict by me.

Oh, another idea that isn't terribly unhealthy and but is inexpensive is soft pretzels. I did this for my students last year - the guy charged me $15 for 75 pretzels. Great deal, esp for a high school teacher that has multiple classes and wants to do a treat.

I am not wanting to spend too much. It is a small thank you for letting me observe their class for two months. They are a GATE cluster class, very bright and really great kids. There are 31 of them, though, so don't to go broke. I went to $$$ Tree, but everything looked to cheap. My teacher said mechanical pencils, but I felt kind of funny just giving everyone 1 mechanical pencil. What do you think?

I'd skip the pencils...it's the end of the year and time to celebrate!
Are you brave enough to do balloons?? Everyone loves balloons and walking around with one; you could add a lollipop to be certain that it doesn't fly away.

I've seen some great brain teaser books at Dollar Tree...think Word Searches or something like that; you could add a cute note inside each one like "Here's so you don't get bored this summer! :) Have a great summer break"!
Those books will cost you a buck each though.

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I'd do ice cream with skittles. Find some way to make the color of the skittles be something with meaning. Get them to scoop out a bowl of ice cream and then pour on the colors that say I love you because......

When you're done...be sure to say "I'm on a diet".....then wash your mouth out with chocolate for using a four letter word.
