I saw my classroom yesterday and found out the kids have built in cubbies in the room! The cubbies are pretty narrow - maybe 10 inches wide, 6 or so inches tall, and a little more than a foot deep. Inside the wooden hole is a clear container that fills up almost the whole space and pulls out, almost like a little drawer. I would be able to label these. The kids also have individual desks where they could store their things, rather than large tables. I'm teaching first grade. What would you advise using the cubbies for?
