I am wanting to do a flower garden theme in my room this year. Have a word garden instead of a word wall. Birthdays will be something like Blooming Birthdays (haven't quite worked this one out yet) How can I use this theme for my welcome back to school. Any ideas with anything using this theme would be helpful--Thanks

New Flowers are Blooming....make a large flower for each student and have their picture in the middle of the petals?

    Come and Grow With Us
    Blossoming_____ (still thinking)
    Budding...
Use types of flowers for behavior
You could have vines and they could move up the vine for different things.
Great theme!!!! I bet your room will look wonderful.

For a "get to know" activity you could have the students make a flower with different colors of construction paper and on each petal you could have the students write something about themselves. You could then put each students picture in the middle of the flower. You could then put these on a bulletin board.
