General Educatio Does anyone have any creative ideas for ice breakers/ getting to know you activities for "Staff Orientation"?
The pricipal at our school had everyone answer several questions on a sheet of paper. Questions like : what is your favorite T.V. show?, What's your favorite kind of icecream?, How many children do you have? ect... Then he asked us to walk around and look for someone who had at least three things in common. This gave us a chance to meet all the new teachers and to chat with our old friends.
similarly, we did a Kagan activity "find someone who" You had to go around and find teachers who liked to cook, had more than 3 children, likes rollercoasters etc and have them sign your sheet.
