Today I added more items to my future classroom items for free from freecycle. :) I have received...

    - 26 Beanie Babies
    - Box of Children's Books
    - Box of Tons of Rubber Stamps
    - Lots of Markers
    - Teaching Workbooks
    - Bag of Stuffed Animals

I really am addicted to this site! I love it!

Wow! What a deal! I haven't been able to find anything for my classroom on there. Before I moved my hubby and I got some dressers...they weren't the nicest and weighed a bunch but it got us through our last year of college!

I haven't been able to find anything for my classroom either on freecycle. It probably doesn't help that I am in a smaller town (18,000) and there are usually not a lot of posters on there!
Congrats on all of your great finds!

Are you requesting items or are people offereing things?

I have had no luck with freecycle. I don't need/want anything offered. And I have asked for 2 things (bingo chips and a room divider screen) and no one offered. I doubted I'd get a divider screen but thought SOMEONE would give me some bingo chips. But, no :(

It is a website where you can offer and request items that other people may not need any longer, which you can put to use. You sign up on freecycle.org and then through your city.

I have both requested items and accepted offers others have posted. When I request items I make sure I put that it is for a classroom and for students so the people sending items my way are sure they are going to a good place.

Just check often and offer up items too :) Happy "cycling"!

I have given a few things away.

Last night, I discovered there are 5 other groups that I live in or teach in (besides the obvious Charlotte group). I joined them all. Maybe I will find some bingo chips out of 5 groups....
