Today I went to two different dollar stores and spent ten dollars and got ten things! I got:
-three workbooks: 101 circle time activities, ocean dot-to-dot, and a grammar workbook (i will save them year-to-year and just make copies out of them)
-an ADORABLE bug box that is multicolored with a net on each side
    -a red rubber ball
-small foam cubes with the alphabet on them for use when testing the kids... they can put the alphabet in order
-a "knockdown game" with a ball and 5 barrels
    - a winnie the pooh book: "Why does it have to rain?"
-a large Macaw/parrot thing to hang up in my rainforest classroom
-word strips for my sight words

All for $1 each!! I love dollar stores!

Great haul! I got some football helmet scrapbook stickers (gonna make a file folder game with them) and a Sesame street football book. Saw some individual dry erase boards there too, but that will have to wait.

I buy my Christmas presents and end of year items from a dollar store. My school did a basket auction this year, I had a parent give me $20. I made a big basket out of it, all from the dollar store.

First I went to "Just-a-Buck", not sure how widespread it is. I hadn't even heard of it until I saw it in the shopping center! And then I went to Dollar Tree.

I love them, too! I can always find something there, even if it wasn't what I was looking for.

I buy a lot of my fancy printer paper there. I can always find great little workbooks for the kids that cover math and reading skills. I also go there to buy the kids' Christmas presents. There's a Dollar Tree about 30 minutes from home, but in the next year we should be getting one closer to home.

Today I went to a different dollar tree and bought an alphabet strip for $1! You know, the kind that goes above the board!

I went today and actually found a student record book to keep grades and attendance in. :) I also got these square cards that have all the cursive letters on them. I'm going to laminate them and tape them to the student's desks.
