and I am SO FREAKING EXCITED. It’s been a super intense year and a half but I’m DONE and it was totally worth it.

Now I can fully enjoy my summer break and bask in my sense of accomplishment for a month and a half.

Nice. That should bring a nice pay raise.

How much of a pay raise do you think that will give you?

Master’s bump is about $4000 if I remember correctly. But they are negotiating our salaries for raise+step so it may be slightly more.

My master's bumped me around $2,400 during my second year, so you're doing great.

Congratulations! I was just thinking the other day how much better off I am financially because I got my MA pretty early in my career. My district gives a big raise once you get it, and then bigger raises each year over what people just in the BA column get. Enjoy the fact that you'll be making that extra money for the rest of your entire career!

WooHoo! That's fantastic! I am working toward my Masters as well and should be done in the spring. I can't wait until I hand in that final assignment. Enjoy your summer!

    OP, Congratulations!

Could you share here in the post or privately what university you earned your Masters at? And was it online, classroom or hybrid courses?

I am in the SF Bay Area and never completed my thesis. So, by now all the courses I took have passed the 7-year window. I am planning on earning a Masters in the future.

    Thank you.

I got mine through American College of Education, so all online. I definitely recommend it — it was rigorous and very relevant, plus it was only just over $9000.

Big Congrats to you, I know the feeling (twice)! I chose to take the HUGE exam which determined whether I got my degree or not.
