A couple of weeks ago I saw a posting on my district's vacancy list for a 1st grade ESOL position. I submitted a cover letter and resume and was called last Friday requesting an interview. I spent all weekend reading the interview questions on this forum and some of my teaching books.... I felt really prepared and I'm pretty confident that I answered all of the principal's questions to the best of my ability. The interview lasted for about 45 minutes, then she walked me around the school and introduced me to the class I would be teaching. It appeared that she liked what I had to say. She will finish interviewing for the position tomorrow, but said that as of now, I'm at the top of the list! Either way I should hear something by the end of the week. Wish me luck!
