How can we be expected to give insight on a particular school when we have no idea what school it is? I'm assuming Chicago area based on your previous posts.

Only reason that I know is because a relative sent her kids to one and would constantly brag about how much it cost and how her kids were more ready for school than mine who stayed home with me until they went to kindergarten. Come to think of it they were so prepared that neither have graduated from college unlike my kids (all will have a college degree by Spring 2015) who were not ready for school because they did not attend a specialized preschool program. Sorry for the rant but I heard the same thing for at least 15 Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations.

I am assuming that you must fill out an application for employment, or else they aren't doing their job very well? I am so not preschool, so not much help.

I seriously thought the same as you Giraffe. We have plenty of "creme De la creme" type schools here in NYC.

I looked it up. They do not exist in Michigan or North Carolina. There are 24 locations in only 8 states. (No NY either, Bunnie!)

Interesting. There's no need for them here. There are more than enough super selective prestigious established preschools here with waiting lists that even celebrities can't pay their way to get into. There was even a documentary about it.

The only reason I heard of it was because I lived down south for a while. lol Creme definitely would not be competitive here.

From what I gathered when I visited one (for my own child) was that they charge a lot of money because they have all the bells and whistles. As a early childhood teacher, I could tell that it was all smoke and mirrors, and that they do not pay much to their "teachers." They are similar to other expensive chain centers and private preschools.

So to me as a teacher, they get a :| from me. Not worth it. lol

I didn't see any bashing. I think you got some good advice. Like I said, it's a regular day care/preschool. Low pay, lots of work, long hours, yet parents pay a ton of money.

Look at the salary and reviews on the glassdoor links that Bunnie posted.

Recently/last week I had an interview at a Crème de la Crème. I was told by the director that they would let me know next week. I gave them a copy of my portfolio that has my resume, transcripts and other certifications. I sent a follow up email after the interview. I am very interested to start a rewarding career with Crème de la Crème. Do you please have any advice?
    Thank you,
    Tom Passarelli :thanks:

Any advice about what? waiting to hear if you got the job?
looking up the information online via the link provided by Bunnie? what are you asking advice about? Asking us about the pay scale, if they have benefits, or how the school is, well that's really something you need to look up or ask HR. How would we know? Don't mean to be rude but your posts are not clear.

Here's my advice. Clean up your Facebook profile to ensure it doesn't have images with the F word, or status updates with the F word... that's generally not a desirable thing for most preschool teachers.

    All the best!

Those racist posts are a HUGE red flag, especially considering the daycare you apparently work at serves a largely black community.
