I really did!!!! I posted last Thursday before my job interview, got a call that I was one of two candidates for the position Thursday night, and then I was offered the position Friday afternoon. I signed my letter of intent yesterday morning and observed the school and the teachers yesterday. Tomorrow I'll go in an meet with the grade level teachers to order supplies for next school year, sit in on a grade level meeting, and observe another teacher for the rest of the day. Phew! What a rush! It's been a such a surreal experience all the way around. I'm afraid it's all just a dream and somebody might dare wake me up. I'm unofficially a second grade teacher for the 2009-2010 school year. Now I just have to march down to the license office in a week with $75 to get me a state license. Yippee!!
 That is awesome!!!!!! I hope I can say that soon. I am so happy Florida got the stimulus money, I hope that means a job for me this school year. Congratulations.
Congrats Applecore. I hope to hear the same news from my last week's inter view. I am starting to loose hope and feeling hopeless. But Great news to hear!!!!!!!!!!
How exciting! I'm so happy for you. That's great that they are letting you observe before school lets out!
Congratulations!!! That is just wonderful! Enjoy the planning and getting ready. I know it will be stressful, but try to enjoy it too. I am excited for you!
Congrats! I've been invited to the 2nd round of the interview process so I hope to have the same success story!!
Super hugs all the way around. Thanks for celebrating with me! I'll have to go peek at the 2009 job thread...that's exciting.:thanks: I'm so thankful and humble for this job right now. :thanks: I have many friends like those of you who are looking, searching, praying, hoping, and just begging for a nibble of a job...or even an interview. It's a tough season for teachers looking for jobs, but I know each person will find one that is meant to be. I know that's a princess tale; so says my dd's when I start off being uber positive when they've had a bad day..."Mom, you're giving me the princess tale, again. But really, it will happen. Speaking of meant to be...the grade level might be changing for me yet! Hey, thanks for the reminder! I'm actually a 2nd grade teacher now...but there's a possibility I might go up to 3rd grade. How 'bout them apples? Oye! It's just a crazy situation and one that I'm sitting on the fence going "which way???".
