Finally, the school I've been waiting on for almost 3 weeks called me this afternoon and offered me a 6th grade position! 6th is what I taught last year and absolutely loved it! I'll be approved at the board meeting on Monday and then get to fill out all that fun paperwork! Thank you so much to all of you on here. Mrs. Gould- was it supposed to take 3 weeks to find out? I'm just curious because principals usually tell you when they will make their decision and then you wait and wait and the time comes and you get no call.
No, it was NOT supposed to take that long! At my first interview (on Monday, May 21st) they told me they were going to be doing 2nd interviews on Tues., Wed., and Thurs. and make a decision by that Friday so they could approve the teacher at the board meeting the following Monday. I went for my 2nd interview on Wednesday and the Superintendent told me that things changed and she got really busy, so they'd make a decision by the 4th or 5th of June. I didn't get the call until yesterday! I just assumed I hadn't got the job!
Ok. Well maybe I shouldnt stress out too much then. The principal that I had the interview with on Tues. told me it would be by the end of this week or the beginning of next. Since the end of this week has come and gone, I'm hoping it will be the beginning of next week.
