I had an interview yesterday morning at 9:30 AM. At about 2:30, I got a call from the principal and they offered me a 3rd grade position! I am sooo excited! They had openings for 3rd grade and 1st grade, and 3rd was my preference. Last year was my first year of teaching and I taught special education. Though I will miss it, elementary education has always been my dream job! What's even crazier is that next week I will be going to a reading conference with all of the teachers, so I will get to know them right away. I'm very excited. For those who are discouraged, please hang in there! I thought for sure I would be back to my old school teaching special education again, but this was a huge surprise. It isn't too late! The right position will come along.
Actually I live in Ohio, but the job I just accepted is in West Virginia. Maybe I should change that! Thank you for the congrats, engmom!

I live about 45 minutes from West Virginia. In fact, we go to Huntington Mall to shop all the time. I just bought a new bike in downtown Huntington this week.
