Academy For Urban School Leadership! I will be a Chicago Public Schools teacher in 2011/2012 after doing a residency in 3rd-5th grade. I'm soooo nervous and excited. Holy crap. I wonder where I'll get placed. I'm shaking so hard. I have so much to learn! :woot:

Thanks, everyone! And yes, there is hope. I will be sent to the lowest performing CPS schools, which I understand is not a desirable employment area, but I think it will be quite an experience. Please consider applying to inner-city schools if you seek a full-time teaching position. These kids deserve great teachers too. There are so many on this forum! I wish every day that my kids were learning from you guys and not the shmucks we currently have.
