I think I got a job! It is through an intermediate unit in my county. I will be teaching a reading program called "FastForward" Has anyone heard of this? I don't even know what my title will be or even if it is special ed. They told me I am going to get the position as long as everything goes according to plan. I will be replacing the current teacher who will be leaving in Oct. I haven't signed a contract or anything and had to nag them everyday to give me "something" I guess my persistence paid off :D I hope!!

Thing are looking up! But I know that does mean much if you are still waiting. Like when the say after a tragedy or something, that only 2 people died. Well if you were one of the 2 , that is pretty tragic. It doesn't hurt when you are the one not involved!

I have taught FastForward. It is a computer reading program where the children work through a series of games teaching them to recognize language sounds and then progress to more concrete sounds. The program is very organized and takes some work to set up and run. Here is the website www.scilearn.com. We used it for not only ESE students but gen ed students who were not reading at grade level. It works wonders if done correctly! (ie...if your P allows the program to function as intended)

Thanks everybody!! I am just not ready to pull out the bubbly just yet. When they call me to come in and sign a contract I will though. Anything can happen.
