    Anyone else?

Although I think I may have kept dozing off in the last chapter ;)

I didn't get started until about noon.

I've got to go to church in about 10 minutes, but I'll check back when I get home.

I didn't start it until about 8:30 last night. I only read for an hour. So I haven't made it far.

I bought it at midnight. I read until 1:30 am. Then read the whole next day and finished before bed. It was AWESOME!

:D It was, and I'm totally paying for it now. I didn't manage to drag myself to bed until 9 AM, and I just woke up about 20 minutes ago -- 5 PM.

YAY I was hoping someone on here was doing the Harry Potter thing. Went with some friends at midnight, read 3 chapters aloud at Denny's, read half of it aloud yesterday, finished around 4:30 this afternoon--good times!!

I finished it Saturday around 3:00 p.m. It was AWESOME!

I wish the epilogue had been longer... :-(

I agree with you about the epilogue, but I still felt at peace when I was finished reading it.

I'm so sad the series is done. :(

Don't you think the epilogue left her room to write again later?

yeah--I actually didn't like the epilogue, it felt tacked on. but that would make sense--although not sure if more books would have the same potency, especially as books 6 and 7!

I'm with you, bc. The epilogue felt cheesy and forced, like she was having to do it to satisfy the masses.

I don't want more Harry books. I want the prequel... the story of James/Lily/Snape et al!

Wow! A pre-quel with James, Lily, and Snape would be awesome!! :)

I loved the book and finished it last night around 8 PM, nearly dozing off toward the epilogue. Was a great read!

yes, I have an intense curiosity about the Potter family which was only mentioned a couple of times. I can't remember if I mentioned it here or somewhere else. Sirius went to live with them when he ran away. What happened to them? Lily and Petunia had parents. What happened to them? We found out more about Dumbledore's family than we did about Harry's I still found that odd.

    A prequel would be great.

I hadn't even considered the idea of a prequel. That would be fantastic!

I'm with you on the prequel idea. Among other things, there wasn't much about how Lily finally decided she didn't hate James. I'm sure there was more to it than "one day, she looked into his bespectacled eyes and realized that this man she had despised was her One True Love. Abandoning her already-estranged childhood playmate, she rushed into the arms of the handsome, athletic man..."

I finished last night. I wasn't too satisfied with the epilogue, but it wraps it up. I feel vindicated with my theories though.

Yes, she's been hinting at that for a while. I'm glad she has definitely said she will do it.

I was pretty disappointed in the book actually. I was just left with so many questions. The book was supposed to be this culminating experience that wraps everything up and instead so much was left open. And don't even get me started on the epilogue. Hugo and Rose?!?! What were they thinking?? And no one names their kid after Fred?? And we read through their 7 years of education only to not find out what they actually do with their lives?? Except for dear, sweet Neville. And she says she's going to write an encylopedia on the characters. That sounds boring. Oh well, I'll be back in school in 2 weeks so then I won't even have time to think about it anymore. :)

Yes, the book left a lot of questions. Hopefully we'll find out the answers in the encyclopedia, but don't hope for that for a while. She's going to take some time off. I don't blame her.

I looked on her website. It says she has no plans for a pre-quel. Maybe she'll change her mind one day.:)
