I don't get why people think that teachers are worthless

    Yeah, once during HS, when some teachers were striking in Trenton, some of the teachers decided not to teach and essentially did a slowdown.

    With my mom, who works for the town court, she cannot do anything. She has been told by her union reps that she can do nothing


    My old sped teacher has been teaching for ~20 years. She has her masters. Earns 91k a year (The district raised the cap on teacher salaries to like 95k before the economic crisis and managed to be able to keep their promises through an energy saving program - installing solar panels)

    Teachers demonstrate in Trenton, trying to send a message to legislators....they are not striking.
    The job actions most take are within the contract...that is, nothing extra outside of the contract. Not teaching would be a violation of that.
