I got the call from the Principal this evening. I missed the call as I did not hear my phone, but she left a message explaining that they had a certified teacher applicant (I have passed my test but I need a semester of student teaching or a year "internship" where I am the teacher on record to become certified) that they felt they needed to hire. I was worried someone with experience would come in and beat me out as it seemed to be a dream job in a great school. On the other hand, she said I really impressed them all and she knows I will make a great teacher. She has also offered to meet with me to assist me in anyway possible. I am going to call tomorrow to see if I can get an appointment. I would love to pick her brain to see what I can do to help me get over the curb!!! *My advice to newbies like me - especially ACP - get any and all experience you can!! I am not sure how yet (especially for those of us still working outside the education industry), but I do know that is my next plan of attack!!!
