...Until the new Harry Potter movie comes out! I am watching the Sorcerer's Stone right now on tv. Why,oh why, are they making us wait until July! I saw the previews again this weekend and it looks so good. I have gotten both sisters hooked on the series and my neice and nephew. I haven't been this excited since...Twilight!
    Anyone else anxiously waiting?

    Here, here!

One of the worst things about moving to CA (there really haven't been many) has been leaving my best friends back in MI. We use to dress up for every book and movie premiere. I made a mean Rita Skeeter!! I still have my Half-Blood Prince box that they gave me with my issue.

ME ME ME ME ME!!!!! I'm still a little peeved with twilight, since it was the release of that movie that caused the HP people to delay the release from the original date. It was originally scheduled to be released on the same weekend as the twilight movie, but HP didn't want to have to compete with it, so they moved it to a summer release.

mm-Twilight was scheduled to be released 2 weeks AFTER HP and moved up the release date when HP moved to July.

hmmmm....maybe it wasn't twilight then...HP moved the date to july stating that they didn't want to compete with another movie. I never caught the name of the movie in that press release, but when that weekend rolled around, and twilight was released, I just assumed that was the movie....my bad.

I thought it was Twilight as well. I just don't understand why they had to wait all the way until July. They'd better hurry or all the actors will be really old by the last movie.

I never got into HP too much. I read some of the books and then fell off the wagon. I don't even know which book I ended with.

They moved it because of how well The Dark Knight was doing.

They didn't delay the filming schedule for HP7 Parts 1 and 2. They were in production for those even last summer.

Oh wow! I didn't realize they were already starting the last ones. I wonder how long they'll make us wait in between part 1 and 2?

They're apparently filming them all at the same time, so the wait between part one and part two shouldn't be too long. Maybe a year?

As per imdb.com, part one is filming and part two is in pre-production, but warner brothers said they were filming both parts as they would a single movie (that's one LONG filming schedule), so they must not be done with all the scenes from part one yet. I know in the summer when they announced the delay of the half blood prince, they were already filming part one, so they have to be nearing done with that. Anyway, the scheduled release dates as of now are....

    Part 1--November 2010
    Part 2--July 2011

Thanks for the info, mmswm. I think I would rather sit through the whole movie than break it apart into 2 movies, but that's just me! I just hate the waiting...

Well, I can see their point. To really get everything into one movie, it would have to be a four hour movie,a nd nobody's gonna sit through one that long.

And I heard that they were going to fit EVERYTHING from the last book into the movies and thus the need to break it up into 2 films.

i can't wait either i love harry potter and the last movie kind of disappointed me they left a LOT out that made the book really good. I also can't wait till new moon on nov 20, 2009 and it has a different director so maybe it won't be as disappointing as twilight was

I enjoy the Harry Potter book series but the movie series -- not so much. I think they leave so much out of the movies that something is lost in editing.

yeah in this last one they did not even mention the prefect stuff with hermione and ron and it played an important part in harry's relationship with them in the sixth book bc of the responsibilities they took on and that he did not have.
