A friend in my old district encouraged me to apply for a long term sub job in reading. It is from Aug.--Dec. but the word on the street is that the teacher will be out for the whole year. It's a reading resource room job so I'd be working with small pull out groups. I'd be with the reading consultant who would be my captain. I know her and like her a lot. I'm figuring that it would be great experience and stands out a bit from the usual LTS classroom job. Plus I would get a taste of the specialist life. That is if they hired me. I think they would prefer a reading cert but are having trouble finding one. Another year of subbing but...at least this would be a totally unique experience for me.
