Circumstances in life can just bog you down. I'm so sorry for all your current circumstances. I'm pretty bummed out too.

On your last day of school, close the door, say, "I did a great job." Be thankful that you've made it this far and look forward to a happy future, you have a lot to look forward to!

And things could be worse... I spent the last week in a hospital waiting room while my daughter was out having a heart procedure 10 hours Monday (totally unsuccessful) and about 10 hours Thursday. Spent a lot of my vacation $'s on a hotel where I wouldn't ordinarily vacation, 3 tanks of gas, and on food I didn't really want. Lost 5 precious sick days, but would do it all over again because we think she's finally well. She's had extreme tachycardia and Thursday was her 4th procedure. I'm also thankful they didn't have to "crack her open" to do it.

Tomorrow is my last day, I'm really, really just tired, I wish I was close enough to retire, I'd do it tomorrow.

Dave, the title of your thread reminds me of Winnie-ther-Pooh's song:

I'm just a little black rain cloud
    Hovering under the honey tree
I'm only a little black rain cloud
Pay no attention to little me

Ev'ryone knows that a rain cloud
Never eats honey, no, not a nip
I'm just floating around over the ground
    Wondering where I will drip

Oh, ev'ryone knows that a rain cloud
Never eats honey, no, not a nip
I'm just floating around over the ground
    Wondering where I will drip

    :D:D:lol::lol:

Dave, I saw an article on CNN.com that puts life into perspective.

When things get too tough, just be glad you aren't living this:

Space Shuttle's Lone Toilet is Broken.

Yikes! Makes me glad I'm here on earth, with working plumbing. No matter how bad it gets, it ain't THAT bad!

Well I am now in survival mode at school
    Room is clean
    Grades are almost all in
all papers that have been turned in are graded
    and the DVD is running
Each class has 4 days watch the DVDs and I have 8 of them. Modern Marvels DVDs Hey it is a shop class.
Write a 2 paragraph answer to a writing prompt on each DVD I show.
Today it was about Hoover Dam. Here was my prompt
"How did and does Hoover Dam help Yuma County?"
The kids actually asked me "Who is Hoover Dam?"!!!! (before I showed the DVD) We are only 319 miles down river from Hoover Dam and the 1905 flood that created the current Salton Sea started just 5 miles from where the school is.

Now you know why I am retiring

In fourth grade I learned in Mrs Buttler's class at Winnetka Avenue School all about the 1905 flood and the Salton Sea. but that was LA schools not Arizona schools.
