I sometimes amaze myself at how stupid I must be. I as so literal that sometimes I don't understand unless you say what you mean. Monday a P from where I want to work at and had sent emails and resumes to called and sail me he read my email but could not open my attachments. We talked a minute then he said well he could look thru the stack on his desk, why didn't I say well I'll bring another right now? All I could think of was I was going out the door to take my gk to the dr. It didn't even cross my mind  Pleeaase give me another chance!!!

Since it's Friday night, I'm thinking the only thing you can do right now is resend the info in a different format. Could you make the files Rich text or PDF? Those should be universal.
I would be at the school first thing Monday AM.
    Things may still work out.:)

Thanks for the suggestion. I went by yesterday and he wasn't in but the janitor let me in and I left my resume in his door thingy. I think they are on a 4 day workweek. I guess time will tell. I just had to tell someone because no one will listen to me whine at home. I just wish I could have a redo.

I would leave a message on his voicemail that you came by to drop off your resume and left it in his box. Let him know that you came by and made the effort and maybe he will call you for that all important interview! All the best to you!

Thanks SCT. I know what will be will be. Sometimes you just have to have a pity party before you move on.

I know how afterward it's so easy to think of how we could have done something better. At least now if you're in this situation again you'll know what to do. Also, I think that stopping by and leaving it was fine and he should definitely get it the next time he is in his office.

Hindsight is 20/20... the positive result, though, is that you remedied the situation as quickly as possible! The principal will no-doubt recognize that.. it may be just the "thing" that gives you the edge over someone else. Good luck.. give us an update.
