I absolutely can't live without my laptop at school!!
What about you?
My teacher bag I got from tartget. It is a purse/tote, with tons of pockets, including a special one for laptops. In additon I have a expanding file holder with handles I keep in there....everything I need in one place, from grading to lunch!
I can not live w/o...
1. nice pens to write with
2. an organized room
3. candles or plug ins
4. my laptop/elmo
and last, but not least: recess. I look forward to the break as much as the kids do
At school, I could not live without:
1. Starbucks hot chocolate
2. My Kylene Beers and Nancy Atwell books
3. Construction paper and markers
4. Good teacher buddies and a supportive principal
5. Knowing I am coming home to a man who adores me!
I understand your list except the Kylene Beers part. I'm a beer drinker myself and have not heard of this brand.
LOL, Zoe! Poor Dr. Beers!
OK!! I am just being really brain dead right now!! Sorry!!! I still didn't understand until I read your reply about 5 times and asked my friend to come explain this!! DUH!!!!!
The author's name is Beers!!! OH!!!!
And this means you ARE able to live without beers at schools (the drinking kind!! )LOL!!!
ROTFLOL, Zoe! It's ok! It's summer!
I cannot live without plastic storage, camera, laptop, and projector while at school.
1. laptop, projector, and elmo
4. Good time tickets (they keep the class civilized and me sane)
5. my rolling teacher cart thing
6. either hot tea or a vanilla latte in the morning
2) Extra sets of crossword puzzles or other work to do in case of technology failure or extra time
3) Germ killing Kleenex and Purel
4) Nice pens for grading
5) Easy grader
6) Dove dark chocolates for when I need a "me" moment

More info please!!
Can you give me more info on this bag? It sounds heavenly!
I heard several times last year in the last class of the day: "ok guys, she's breaking out the dove, time to calm down"
Observant 9th graders, gotta love em!
my cart on wheels!!!
diet coke and godiva or dove chocolate
coffee in the morning
a pepsi at lunch
...my fan blowing directly on me.
It has two snap pockets on the front, one zippered pocket on the back, it has a HUGE middle section, on one side it has a key holder, cell phone holder, pen holders, ID holder, and a small pocket for unmentionalbles, other side of the interior has a small zippered pocket. I also have a padded sleeve with a zipper to hold a laptop that clips inside the bag. I also use it as a divider. I added to that a 7 file portfolio (like those plastic ones at Office Depot) but staples sold some that were professional looking, fabric covered with a handle, so I can carry that to go grade alone if I wanted too.
I have a pocket with tea bags, tylenol, a mirror, brush etc for me, one pocket with pens and pencils, the big zippered pocket holds whatever I need extra for that day........and lots lots more. It is light brown leather with a dark brown leather handle, it was $22.
I will try to post a pic, okay here it is
You mean they make a special bag for that stuff? That's why my purse straps break!! LOL:lol:
After school margaritas with the girls
INTERNET ACCESS (I do a little dance to pray to the www gods that it will work that day)
my partner in crime, jenny. She does the lesson plans one week, i do them the next. love splitting the work!!!

Thank you SO much!! I'm going to go look for one today. It sounds absolutely perfect! :thanks:
1. coffee in the a.m.
2. diet coke or diet pepsi (whatever's on sale), by lunchtime
4. adult only beverage in the evening
At school, I can't live without:
my Flair marker pens
plastic organizer bins
my assistant principal
the vending machine- when I need a chocolate pick-me-up
recess and specials
5 minutes to myself at some point
my palm/treo phone
... my CD player and Dr. Jean CD's!
... my rolly-ball computer chair at home.
Oh my god. Me too! My kids laugh and laugh about this too. They are all freezing, and I've got the fan on high!
computer w/ internet
- My digital timer because I get distracted
- Chocolate for emergencies
- Pictures of my kids on my screen saver to make me smile
- A sweater for when they freeze me out of the cafeteria
- A sense of humor to put everything in perspective
We're in the same boat, MrsMikesell. I have gotten so addicted to air blowing at me that I can't get comfortable without it. I don't have enough plugs in my room! Poor kids. Too bad, they can wear sweaters....
