If you applied for a job and found out through the grapevine that interviews had been scheduled, would you call?

I really would love to work at this school...should I call the school or district office? Should I just ask if they received my resume?

    There's no harm in calling.

You could check to make sure they received it. But, if they already have it, then there probably isn't much you can do :sorry:

Back in June I was in a similar situation in another district, I emailed the principal my resume and got a call the next day, I made it 3 rounds and a demo and it was between me and another and I did not get chosen. In this case I emailed when I applied already.

E-mailing can definitely land you an interview! I have gotten several this way.
However, I haven't ever heard of someone getting an interview after they've already been scheduled. Good luck and be the first :)

I had applied for a position back in May but never heard anything. I ended up calling a few weeks later, and the HR person gave the principal my info. The principal set up an interview even though she had already interviewed several people just in case I was a better fit for this position or if additional positions became open later in the summer. I didn't end up getting any positions at this particular school, but had I not called, I never would have even gotten an interview. So yes, I would say you should call! Good luck!

I didn't get a chance to call today, but I emailed the super and asst. super since I had already emailed the principal. I will call on Monday.
