I'll be praying too. The paper this morning was saying this could be the largest evacuation ever in Florida.
We are also hunkered down. Expecting to lose power for quite a while. Bought lots of snacks to tide us over!
Thank you, Diz. We are still getting ready, cooking food before we lose power. My son has sealed the skylights on the roof. If I'm not around, I'll check back when I have power. Good luck to everyone on the coast.
I'm in South Florida and am so thankful to be safe. We got rain and wind but nothing bad at all. Didn't even lose power. People are actually complaining about the storm 'not doing anything' and I'm just like ???? . My mom's in Jacksonville and I'm hoping the same thing will happen over there. Looking at the videos and pictures coming from Haiti and Bahamas is really upsetting. This could have been so much worse.
Lamariposa... good to hear. Not the same but people complain when we don't get the snow storms we are supposed to in the winter or storms in the summer. We always prepare for worst & hope for best!!! Glad you are safe. Hopefully it doesn't hook back around.
