I am stumped. yes I may be too old to go for a teaching job at 59. I have worked as a teacher in the past. anyway, I have worked as a para for the past few years and I am trying to be a science teacher. I have worked in chemistry classes and can tutor kids in the subject. I asked one administrator and one teacher for recommendation letters last spring. They said they would give them to me but I never got them and did not look for a teaching job over the summer. I am waiting until the second week of school to approach them again or should I just forget it?

You have to keep asking people. At least that's what I did to get mine. People are busy and they forget!
