How to choose Just Right Bookmark

    I like how the word "blurb" is used. The kids can relate to the language on the bookmark. :)

    I'll be using this on Friday when my group goes to the library to choose a book for the first time this year.

    Students pick a page in a book that they are intested in reading. Then, they count on their fingers how many words they are unable to read. If it's 0-1, then the book is too easy. If it's 4 and more, then the book is challanging. 2-3 means it's just right.

    I think those numbers are right???

    I've heard of it for younger kids, but does it work for 5th graders?
