I like how the word "blurb" is used. The kids can relate to the language on the bookmark.
You are awesome!!! I just taught this reader's workshop lesson!!! My kids will love this book mark. Thanks again!!
THANKS!!! I am actually doing this reader's workshop lesson this week and the bookmark will be perfect!!!

I'll be using this on Friday when my group goes to the library to choose a book for the first time this year.
Great idea! Thanks so much for sharing it! The five finger rule again, is?????
Students pick a page in a book that they are intested in reading. Then, they count on their fingers how many words they are unable to read. If it's 0-1, then the book is too easy. If it's 4 and more, then the book is challanging. 2-3 means it's just right.
I think those numbers are right???
I've heard of it for younger kids, but does it work for 5th graders?
Pish! They need it the MOST!!
Separate names with a comma.
